Adult Ministries
Meeting the needs of our congregation through various activities, events, and Bible Studies.
Attendance Counting
Counting the attendance throughout the building for each service & special event
Auditorium Chairs & Tables
Setting up for Refuel on Mondays and resetting for Sunday services on Thursday
Building & Grounds
Assisting with upkeep and maintenance on the building
Bread Basket
Helping with the distribution of food in New Castle on the 3rd Saturday of each month from 8am – 11:30 am and packing backpacks for school-age children throughout the week.
Building of Hope Pick Up / Delivery
Picking up and delivering furniture to and from the warehouse in Hermitage, PA.
Commons Cafe
Providing refreshments on Sunday mornings in the Commons
Connect Center
Answering questions, welcoming guests, and distributing visitor’s gifts on Sundays in the Connect Center
Core (18-24)
Planning and leading events, Bible studies, and trips for our recent graduates
Core (25-35)
Planning and leading events, Bible studies, and trips for our older young adults and young marrieds
Deaf Interpretation
Live translating our worship and message on Sunday morning so our hearing impaired community can worship with us
Funeral Dinners
Assisting in preparing dishes for funeral dinners, setting up and tearing down the room for these dinners
Information Center
Answering questions, selling tickets, and assisting guests
Kid Min (Grades K-5)
Providing worship and spiritual growth opportunities for kids in Kindergarten through 5th grade. Planning and executing events such as VBS, missions trips, retreats, etc. Developing relationships and mentoring kids spiritually. Background clearances required.
Mailings
Assisting the office staff with folding letters, stuffing envelopes, and putting on stamps for large mailings
Men’s Ministry Team
Doing the monthly men’s breakfast on the 2nd Saturday of each month at 9 am. Leading Bible studies and planning events throughout the year.
Missions Trips
Traveling with New Life to local, national, and international destinations to serve communities and share the gospel
Moms Caring & Sharing
Planning Bible study and fellowship for moms on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 9:30 AM (3rd Tuesday in November & December)
Mustard Seed (Ramps)
Building handicap accessible ramps for families in the community
Night to Shine
Putting on a prom for people with disabilities on the Friday before Valentine’s Day. Jobs include hairstyling & makeup, leading Karaoke, helping guests through prom, cheering on the red carpet, and more. Background checks are required.
Nursery / Preschool (Pre-K)
Providing childcare & classes for our youngest members & guests. Planning events throughout the year for fun and fellowship. Background checks are required.
Operation Christmas Child (OCC)
Organizing & packing shoeboxes to be delivered around the world in conjunction with Samaritan’s Purse. January through November are spent prepping and making items for the boxes. October to November is spent packing and collecting boxes from the congregation.
Offering
Helping collect the offering on Sunday mornings
Parking Ministry
Coordinating parking for special events
Prayer Ministry
Praying for the leadership and ministry of the church as well as members’ needs & events of the day. Wednesdays @ 6 PM.
Refuel Table Leader
Leading a small group through discussion questions during our midweek Bible study on Wednesdays at 6:30 PM. Attendance at Refuel and an interview with Pastor Tim is required.
Seasonal Decorating
Helping get the building ready for Christmas. Majority of the work is done in the week between Thanksgiving and the first Sunday in December.
Student Ministry (Grades 6-12)
Providing worship and spiritual growth opportunities for middle school and high school students. Planning and executing events , developing relationships and mentoring kids spiritually. Background clearances required.
Tech Ministry
Operating the ‘behind the scenes’ stuff that makes the service run. Responsibilities include lighting, sound, camera operating, livestream production, set up & tear down, maintenance of equipment and more. Experience in these areas is a plus, but not a requirement. Training is provided.
Welcome Tent
Welcoming guests and distributing visitor’s gifts in a tent in the parking lot from April – November.
Women’s Ministry Team
Leading Bible studies and planning events throughout the year.
Worship Team / Band
Leading the congregation into worship through music for services and special events. A try-out with Pastor Jeremy is required.
Young At Heart (55+)
Planning and leading events, Bible studies, and trips for those aged 55+
